5 games celebrities love to play
When they’re not busy on set preparing for a new movie or appearing on a TV show to promote their new book, celebrities are just like you and me.
They love to hang out with their friends, catch up on their favorite TV shows and even play a game or two.
In fact, celebrities spend a lot of their free time playing games because they’re often waiting around, whether to perform a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden or for their scenes on a new pilot.
But what do they play?
Below, we’ve put together five games the stars are obsessed with.
World of Warcraft
There are quite a few WOW fans around the world, but actress Mila Kunis probably comes out on top.
Star of The Black Swan, Kunis has admitted more than once to being addicted to World of Warcraft, regularly spending hours trying out new characters and leveling up.
But the game became so addictive that she decided to give up – she said that the MMO was taking up too much time and that she wasn’t able to focus on her career because of it.
RuneScape
Another popular MMORPG is RuneScape, and it too has a celebrity fanbase.
LeafyIsHere, Lauren Tsai, and Zac Aynsley are three of the biggest names who play the title, alongside the winner of the X-Factor, George Sampson, who also attended several RuneFests, the game’s annual conference.
We’re sure these celebrities have a few 99s between them!
Texas Holdem
If it wasn’t already obvious, Lady Gaga is a huge fan of Texas Holdem Poker, so much so that she wrote a song about it.
“I wanna hold ’em like they do in Texas, please Fold ’em, let ’em hit me, raise it, baby, stay with me,” she sang in her hit 2008 song, which has become one of her most popular.
The star is currently performing in Vegas, so we’re sure she has a flutter now and again when she’s not performing Born This Way or Dancing In The Dark.
Call of Duty
Call of Duty is one of the most popular console games in history, and so it’s natural that it would have a big celebrity fanbase.
One of its biggest fans is Justin Bieber, who has talked a bunch of times about his love for the Call of Duty: Black Ops title.
Rapper Eminem is also a big COD player – in fact, he partnered with Activision to offer fans a download code for his album and an exclusive song for everyone who purchased the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC.
Assassin’s Creed
Finally, a quick word on Assassin’s Creed.
This legendary game is played by millions of gamers around the world, but it’s Samuel L. Jackson who is probably the most famous.
He has expressed his love for video games for many years – in fact, he played Pong and Atari games back in the day – and now spends a lot of time exploring the many Creed worlds.
He was quoted saying: “Give me a gun and I’m over it. I have total enthusiasm for these games.”
